4 Steps to Creating an Estate Plan

Step 1

The first step is to contact our office for an initial meeting.

You should plan about an hour for the first meeting. We will discuss your planning objectives including:

  • Consider the impact of estate taxes on your estate plan

  • Determine if trust planning is appropriate for children or other beneficiaries

  • Discuss ways to reduce or eliminate the court involved process of probate for your estate
  • Discuss the best persons or institutions to serve as personal representatives under your will, trustees of your trust, and guardians for your children

Step 2

Present planning recommendations including a flat fee proposal.

Step 3

Drafting your documents and incorporating any changes after your review.

Step 4

Document signing: We will arrange the document signing, along with all necessary formalities for a will signing.
